Laparoscopic Management of Undescended Testis: Results and Outcomes in a Pediatric Population

Aim: This study aimed to evaluate the results of laparoscopic treatment high and intra-abdominal undescended testes. Methods: A retrospective was carried out from 2014 2021 at Centre medico-chirugicale d’urologie in Douala. We consulted clinical records 27 patients aged 6 - 15 years who underwent orchiopexy our hospital. included with unilateral or bilateral testes as detected by palpation excluded incomplete records. The data collected were entered into Microsoft Excel 2016 exported Epi info 7 for analysis. Continuous variables presented mean values standard deviations while categorical frequencies percentages. threshold statistical significance set p Results: ages participants ranged years, a age 10.22 ± 2.68 years. Hypospadias an associated abnormality 7.41% participants. duration surgical procedure 80.56 30.30 minutes. overall success rate 95.83%. postoperative hospital stay 26.67 7.69 hours. only complication we encountered testicular atrophy, which occurred All single-stage procedures.
